  1. Each Exhibitor requires one (only) Exhibitor Number, which is the exhibitor’s personal identification for all entries. These numbers and exhibitor entry tags will be available upon check in.
  2. Summary Sheets of your entries are available in advance at Heritage Park, and on line at: wbcountryfair.org It is recommended that these be filled in before arrival.
  3. IMPORTANT: An exhibitor may submit only one (1) entry in each Category except for categories termed as “Open” where a maximum of two (2) distinctly different entries per Exhibitor are allowed. A “set” will be counted as one (1) entry.
  4. It is the Exhibitor’s responsibility to ensure that the Exhibit tags, and Summary Sheets are filled out correctly, adhering to all Rules and Regulations, and that the item is entered in the correct Division and Category. Volunteers accepting entries will scan the paperwork BUT cannot be held responsible for any errors.
  5. Please Note: Information given on the Exhibitor Tag is visible to the public. Only the name and exhibitor number is compulsory. Additional information is at the discretion of the exhibitor. Also, pictures will be taken for publication unless and exhibitor voices an objection.
  6. The deadline for accepting all entries is from 12pm to 8pm on Wednesday August 3rd.
  7. Youth Divisions have age restrictions. Youth can enter in their appropriate age division as well as any division for older youth and adults. However, all entries will be judged equally with the other competitors.
  8. Except where noted, all entries must be wholly the work of the exhibitor, and entered under their own name. Any Arts and Crafts exhibits not previously entered in the Wood Buffalo Country Fair will be accepted provided it is in excellent condition.
    The Committee reserves the right to reject any item that does not meet this standard. Recipes may be used from year to year.
  9. Culinary requirements:
    a. Recipes are not required. However a list of ingredients MUST accompany the entry for judging purposes.
    b. Whole loaves, cakes, pies, etc must be entered unless otherwise specified.
    c. All Entries, except preserves, must be enclosed in a clear plastic bag.
    d. All preserves, except freezer jam, must be in sealed jar – Paraffin wax is not accepted.
    e. Goods not fully cooked will be disqualified.
    f. Judging is based on taste, appearance, texture, consistency of size and degree of difficulty.
  10. Horticulture requirements:
    a. All exhibits are to be grown by the Exhibitor.
    b. Each entry shall be identified by its correct kind name.
  11. Prize ribbons will be awarded to the three best entries in each category. If there is no entry of suitable standard, no ribbon will be given. Best of Division ribbons will be awarded to the outstanding First Prize winner from among all categories in each Division. Best of Show ribbons will be awarded to the best of the Division winners in both Youth and Adult Divisions.
  12. Every precaution is taken to protect all articles. However, it is distinctly understood that in NO case shall Heritage Park, the Country Fair Committee, their directors or volunteers, be held responsible for any loss or damage to any article while participating in the Country Fair. Insurance, if required is the sole responsibility of the Exhibitor and their own insurance provider.
  13. Entries will be returned between 12:00 and 4:00 pm on Sunday August 29th, 2010, ONLY, and cannot be released before then.
    PLEASE make arrangements to have your entries picked up during these hours. Entries left after these times will be at the owners risk.
  14. The decisions of all judges are final. Judges are chosen on the basis of their knowledge, ability and experience. Unauthorized persons are cleared from the room during judging and entrants’ identities are not revealed to the judges in advance. Originality is not a requirement but is considered in the judging process. Therefore, original designs, or recipes should be noted on the Exhibit Tag when appropriate.
